Adony ba.

This blog began when I left my cozy home and everything I'd ever known to study for four months in Uganda and Rwanda in the fall of 2010.  It remains the most transformative and important experience of my young life.

Since I began writing this blog over three years ago, I discovered a great many things, the most influential of which has remained the power of storytelling. I found therapy in the power of words, in the great gift we are all blessed with: telling our tales and using them to connect.

I'm currently living in Washington, DC, trying to figure out how best to harness my passion and use it to make the world a little lighter.

Webele nyo, apwoyo matek, and urakoze cyane.  Thank you so much for reading.
